Values

In order to get the most out of counselling, I believe people need to feel safe, respected, and truly heard.

These values shape my work and reflect my commitment to providing ethical, inclusive, and person-centred support for personal growth.

Autonomy & Empowerment

I believe that each person is the expert in their own life. My role is to provide a supportive space where individuals can cultivate self-awareness, gain clarity, and make choices that align with their values, goals and aspirations.

Compassion & Acceptance

I strive to foster a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship where my clients feel fully seen and heard, knowing they will always be met with respect, empathy, and genuine care.

Inclusivity & Affirmation

I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental and affirming environment for all, including LGB individuals, trans-identifying and gender-nonconforming people, and those exploring de-transition. My practice is neurodivergence-affirming, with or without a formal diagnosis. I recognize Health at Every Size (HAES) principles and celebrate body diversity. I am also a vegan-friendly practitioner

Holistic Understanding

People are complex and multifaceted. My approach acknowledges the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—while honouring each individual's unique experiences and worldview. My own spirituality blends Christianity with Buddhism and New-Age practices. I welcome those of any faith or none.

Integrity & Professionalism

As an Accredited Professional member of the NCPS, I adhere to their Code of Ethics. I maintain professional insurance, an up-to-date enhanced DBS and engage in ongoing supervision, reflection and professional development. I am registered with the ICO and I am committed to full compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations, ensuring that client information is handled with transparency, confidentiality, and care.

Respect for Individuality

Every person’s experiences, values, and perspectives are unique. I celebrate diversity and strive to create a space where all individuals feel valued, understood, and respected on their personal journey.

Collaboration & Client Rights

Therapy is a collaborative process, and I encourage open dialogue so clients feel empowered to express their needs, preferences, and goals. I respect each person's right to autonomy and informed choice in their therapeutic journey. I will always signpost to other services if and when required. I recognise the importance of clear boundaries within the counselling relationship.
